This is part 1 of the 7th album created by recording piano improvisations. Those who know me, know that I have previously written extensively about the concept of 'edges', and maintained an interest in them. This current period of time has felt like standing before a lot of potential pathways, potential futures.

When I listen to the album in its entirety, I see someone contemplating all that has been before through various senses and experiences, and moving on to look ahead to what might come.

This first section, 'Memory', focused on that self-reflection of the past. The second section will be released in a couple of months. Partly as a gesture to acknowledge the passage of time in all life events, but also to allow these two sections to stand complete in their own right.
