A Light Infusion - aiming to infuse listeners with a cheerful optimism - it also goes quite well with a brew and a sit down.

Uplifting and optimistic. That is the brief I set myself. After a difficult period of time, and emerging from a cold winter, I wanted to create a musical surge of energy, that could reinvigorate listeners, heading into the warmer months.

The images in mind to inspire these pieces are that of plants breaking dormancy, thriving with new life, and that of a person breaking through depression, astounded by the sensation of emotions and positive feelings again. Like seeing a break in unending clouds, and remembering the sun that had been long forgotten. The album was almost called 'First Light After A Long Sleep' for this reason, yet I was reluctant to include the word sleep for an album supposed to be refreshing, bright, and vibrant.

This album follows the same process as my other two albums, by recording improvisations. Unlike the other albums, there was more refinement.
